Handful of Jung Seeds

Before opening a bag of seed, be sure to read and understand the stewardship requirements, including applicable refuge requirements for insect resistance managements, for biotechnology traits expressed in the seed as set forth in the Monsanto Technology Agreement that you sign. By opening and using a bag of seed, you are reaffirming your obligation to comply with those stewardship requirements.

Recommended Configurations for Insect Resistance Management

The non-Bt corn refuge on each farm may be arranged in a number of recommended spatial configurations that incorporate a non-Bt corn refuge without lessening the effectiveness of the resistance management program, as shown below:

Insect Resistance Management Seperate Field
Separate field: plant a separate non-Bt corn field within one-fourth to one-half mile of each Bt corn field, This option is not suitable for rootworm refuge.
Insect Resistance Management Block
Block: plant non-Bt corn strips or blocks within the Bt field.
Insect Resistance Management Split Planter
Split Planter: split the planter to alternate four or more rows (six is preferred) of non-Bt corn within the Bt corn.
Insect Resistance Management Pivot Corners
Pivot Corners: plant non-Bt corn as pivot.
Insect Resistance Management Perimeter
Perimeter: plant as field perimeters or end rows to non-Bt corn.
